For those of you who do not know me, I am Doresa McCombs. I'm African American and my birthday is May 9, 1972. Yes, I'm a taurus. I'm also a water rat (as far as Chinese Astrology goes). I currently live in my hometown, Washington, DC. I have also lived in Boston, MA, New Paltz (Town of my Alma Mater), Kingston, Cottekill, Stone Ridge, NY and 3 months in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I have a Bachelors in Psychology, but i'm currently working as a program analyst utilizing my paralegal studies background.
My hobbies and Interests:
Writing, writing, & writing. What?
Poetry and stories, reading fantasy & horror
fiction, world culture (ancient Egyptian, current foreign cultures not DC, American or African American culture), art (such as Surrealism, Sculptures, works of Bosch, Rodin and others), philosophy (historic religions, mythology), literature (Dante, Oscar Wilde, Bronte/poetry), opera, operettas and masses (Tosca, Camina Burana, Messa da Requiem), downtempo and J-Rock (i love The Gazette, MiYaVi, and 待てん労オペラ [Matenrou Opera]).
I love to travel and so far I have been to Germany, England, Denmark and Japan!
Personality:
Well i could write a dissertation just on my personality itself, but the truth is i am quiet simple. This is why so many people never understand me because what's on the surface is what i am. Now i can be confusing in that my nature is a caregiver and i am extremely passive. I prefer to support others rather than to pave the way. My nature is also a protector be it of the underdog or of my ideals; however, I can equally be harsh and mean if provoked. So the key thing about me is i don't bs, i'm 100% real and i don't care for bs around me. So if i don't like someone i will be civil (which i define as not ripping that person a new asshole). Outside of my "Wall" which is my deameanor i am loyal and sincere and i try to help whenever I can.
